This spreadsheet includes four popular equations to calculate one’s Resting and/or Basal Metabolic rate, i.e., calories burned while resting. The book, Finishing strong! Strength Training for Old(er) Guys, will give you a fair understanding of plusses and minuses of the RMR/BMR measurements. If you prefer an alternative to the equations used in the Daily Summary Spreadsheet, just enter the number calculated in this one for whichever you choose.
